Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce
Business Education Partnerships Program
The Business Education Partnerships Program is a collaborative partnership between Lisle Community School District 202 and the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce. The program provides businesses of any size an opportunity to make a difference in the schools in our community. The program links businesses and organizations with schools in relationships that enhance student learning and promote school involvement.
Through successful business partnerships, schools and businesses are able to provide students with opportunities and education that they may not otherwise find in textbooks.
How do Businesses Benefit from Business Partnerships?
Participating in the program will improve your corporate image in the community and the schools. It provides opportunities to promote your products and services. It offers an arena for future recruiting. But, most of all, it offers a rewarding opportunity for volunteerism to you and your employees.
How do the Schools Benefit from Business Partnerships?
Through the Business Education Partnerships, students are exposed to an expanded and enriched curriculum. The partnerships create new opportunities for professional development and exposure to the “real world.” Your participation can also help fulfill needs which may not be met through traditional funding resources.
How to Get Involved
A goal of the program is to develop relationships between the teachers, students and local business owners. One example of how that might be achieved would be to make yourself available as a guest speaker to speak to students about your industry. As students and teachers become comfortable with the individual business owners from these visits, the relationship might develop into other means of supplementing the students’ education, whether through classroom visits to your workplace, offering jobs, internships or job-shadowing opportunities, or mentoring or tutoring.
These are only a small sample of what your business can do for our schools. If you would like to be involved in the Lisle Business Education Partnerships Program, please contact Brian Zeeck by e-mail at bzeeck@hinshawlaw.com or by phone at (630) 505-0010, or you can use the "
